  1. Independent Retail Store: You would like to carry our product offerings and become a Dept. of GOOD exclusive retailer.

  2. Innovative Product: You have an idea or product needing to be helped to get to market.

  3. Non-Profit Organization: You’re a community organization - national or international.

  4. Brand Partners: You’re looking to join our mission - all sectors of consumer goods welcomed.

Dept. of GOOD is an innovative, for-profit, technology-driven platform for B2B and B2C retail. We create an interwoven ecosystem driven by blockchain, independent retailers, and global communities. We fundamentally believe that community empowerment and support for small businesses will help change our societies for the better. We manifest disruption for GOOD.

We built our business model based on questions and statistics which we felt were important to explore and create solutions for. We passionately believe our model can help empower communities - physical virtual, and like-minded.

  • 97% of all business in North America is small business which employs over 70% of the available workforce. We are slowly seeing the demise of the backbone of our communities, resulting in in less opportunities for people.

  • When we have ideas, how simple is it to bring them to market? Only 8% of innovative products make it to market successfully. We hope Dept. of GOOD will help a portion of the remaining 92% to find the necessary resources and support needed to bring their ideas to the masses.

  • Pure philanthropy is difficult to sustain, especially for the small organizations that do such incredible work in our communities. By creating a system with a giveback built into every wholesale and retail transaction, we can seamlessly share our business model with worthwhile organizations.

  • The landscape of consumerism is constantly and rapidly changing - the shopping experience is become more and more essential. Over 70% of millennials prefer to shop in their local community stores.

INDEPENDENT RETAIL PARTNER

We understand the challenges of independent retail. We believe that there are multiple opportunities to collaborate with independent retailer partners.

As an independent retail partner, you will be able to collaborate in a variety of ways.

  1. We can provide geographical exclusivity within your community for the products you carry. We can ensure that every retailer has enough distance from the next Dept. of GOOD partner, so as to benefit from the competition rather than be limited by it.

  2. We can give you the highest possible margin for each category of products and build in a 2.5% giveback (which Dept. of GOOD will match). This giveback will go to a community organization of your choice, even in your own neighborhood.

  3. Upon launching, we can deploy local marketing initiatives and highlight your store on our platform.

  4. We can promote any news, press, or updates you want to share with your neighborhood and beyond.

  5. When consumers from your neighborhood accesses our platform, they will be introduced to your store, encouraged to visit you locally, and informed about the initiative or organization you’ve chosen to support.

  6. After the initial phase, we will give all our retail partners the option to learn about the technology to access the entire platform, including the merchandise outside of their own brand, which can generate commissions when sales are made through that channel.

  7. We know it can be difficult for independent retailers to gain traction online. Dept. of GOOD makes the promise that with each transaction on our ecommerce platform, we will have a percentage of digital sales put aside and shared with all our retail partners. This sharing structure will change over time with growth - initially, we will share this percentage equally. As we grow together, Dept. of GOOD will retain 50% of the percentage to be shared equally amongst all retail partners, and the remaining 50% will be directed to retailers in the communities where the purchases originate.
